Vassar breaks over the .500 mark with Saturday's win at 8-7 overall while holding a 4-0 record against Liberty League rivals. Ithaca slips to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in conference action.
Doubles
- Vassar opened a 1-0 lead following doubles play with victories at the first and third positions.
- The top pair clinched the point against the Bombers, with Fernando Bauermeister (Winter Park, FL) and Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) scoring a 6-4 victory.
- Agostinho and Cattaruzzi moved to 6-2 on the season as a unit following a 6-2 triumph for the Brewers.
Singles
- Vassar controlled the singles play on Saturday, taking five of the six contests to secure the victory.
- Bauermeister improved to 8-5 on the season after cruising to a 6-2, 6-0 victory at the top position.
- Lee continued a strong sophomore season with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of the opponent at the second slot, moving Lee to 7-6 on the season.
- Agostinho rolled at fourth singles, producing a 6-1, 6-1 victory and scoring his seventh singles victory of the season.
- Balon moved to 11-4 on the season in singles play after outlasting Ithaca's Emiliano Pedrero 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 at the fifth position.
- First Year Joaquin Gil (Brooklyn, NY) moved to 8-4 on the season after scoring a 6-4, 6-0 sixth singles win on Saturday.
