Men's Track and Field Scores Sixth Place Finish at the RPI Under the Lights Invite

Brewers record numerous personal-bests, Vassar heads to Bucknell tomorrow

Troy, NY - The Vassar College Men's Track and Field team closed the two-day RPI Under the Lights Invite on Friday night with a sixth place overall team finish out of 12 scoring teams.

4x100 Relay

The relay of first year Ryan Fernandes, junior Jacob Sellitti, sophomore Collin France and junior Nathan Denham scored a fifth place finish in a time of 44.73.

400 Meters

France earned a third place finish with a time of 50.75 while senior Max Bergman finished 11th overall in a career-best time of 53.23.

110 Meter Hurdles

Senior Jae Young Seo tallied a ninth place finish in 17.18.

100 Meters

Sellitti recorded a 22nd place finish with a time of 11.84 followed by first year Owen Gifford with a top-30 finish in 12.14.

800 Meters

Sophomore Sean Miller raced to a second place finish with a time of 1:53.68.
First year Nick MacDonald posted a seventh place finish in a personal-best time of 1:56.98.
Senior Nick Redstone tallied an 18th place finish in 2:02.38 along with sophomore Joshua Garrway in the top-30 with a personal-best mark of 2:09.97.

200 Meters

Denham earned a fifth place overall finish in 23.19 followed by Sellitti in 26th position with a career-best mark of 24.01.
Fernandes scored a 31st place finish with a time of 24.48.

1500 Meters (Unseeded)

Junior Xavier Silverio was eighth overall in a personal-best 4:28.75 followed closely by first year Oscar Olson Gross in ninth with a season-best time of 4:30.27.
First year Patrick Wang recorded a 10th place finish in a personal-best 4:30.87 while first year Zeke DeMercurio was 12th in a season-best 4:35.55.
Senior Mikhail Medina finished 15th overall with a time of 4:45.59.

Hammer Throw

Sophomore Adam Finnimore posted a career-best toss of 33.66 meters for a 18th place finish.

Shot Put

Finnimore finished 12th overall at 11.29 meters.

Long Jump

Gifford recorded a 17th place finish with a leap of 5.60 meters.

Vassar heads to the Bison Outdoor Classic tomorrow afternoon on the campus of Bucknell University.
