Orlando, FL – The Vassar College Men's Tennis team scored its first win on its trip to Florida Monday morning with a convincing 6-1 win over Wisconsin Eau-Clair at the USTA National Campus. The Brewers secured the victory with wins in five of the six singles contests against the Blugolds.
Monday's victory improves Vassar's standing to 3-4 overall on the season, while Wisconsin-Eau-Claire falls to 2-3 in the early going.
Doubles
- Vassar got off to a good start in Monday's match, taking the doubles point with victories at the second and third positions.
- The middle pair of Arnav Agostinho (Brooklyn, NY) and Pedro Cattaruzzi (Chatham, NJ) earned a 6-4 win for the Brewers.

- Bauermeister, who was named the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week Monday afternoon, earned an impressive 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) victory for the Brewers at the top flight.
- Lee continued a strong start to the season with a 6-2, 6-1 win for the Brewers at the second slot.
- Agostinho outlasted Eau Claire's Otto Schluter 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 at the third position.
- First Year Joseph Braun (Albuquerque, NM) clinched the victory for Vassar at the fifth position, posting a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
- Classmate Joaquin Gil (Brooklyn, NY) scored a victory for the Brewers at the sixth position with a 6-2, 6-1 decision.
- Balon was locked in a tight decision at the fourth slot for Vassar, battling in a tightly contested 4-6, 6-3, 5-7 defeat.
