Men’s Squash Drops Decisions To Haverford, Hobart

Chen, Lugo, Looby win against Statesmen

Philadelphia, PA – The Vassar College Men's Squash team closed out the 2024-25 season with losses to Haverford and Hobart on Saturday at the CSA Divisional Championship. The Brewers were topped 9-0 by the Fords before dropping a 6-3 decision to the Statesmen.
 
Saturday's results finish the Vassar season at 8-12 overall.
 
For The Brewers Vs. Haverford
  • Gabriel Lugo (East Hartford, CT) went the distance at seven, ultimately suffering a hard fought 11-5, 6-11, 5-11, 11-5, 2-11 defeat.
  • Konstantinos Georgailldes (Limassol, Cyprus) was topped in four frames, battling in an 11-9, 3-11, 5-11, 0-11 loss.
  • Kyle Benson (Bronx, NY) competed for the Brewers in an 11-9, 9-11, 9-11, 5-11 loss.
  • Luke Chen (Bellevue, WA) also went four frames for Vassar at six, dropping a 12-10, 7011, 6-11, 3-11 decision.
 
For The Brewers Vs. Hobart
  • Chen got into the win column for Vassar against Hobart, earning a 7-11, 11-3, 11-7, 11-9 victory at six.
  • At seven, Lugo posted a hard fought 12-10, 11-8, 13-11 sweep for the Brewers.
  • Patrick Looby (Westport, CT) earned an 11-4, 11-7, 11-7 sweep at eight for Vassar.
  • Razaan Lalji (West Vancouver, BC) suffered a tight 6-11, 8-11, 11-7, 3-11 defeat at five.
  • Daniel Smith (Littleton, CO) also went four for the Brewers at nine, battling in an 11-7, 6-11, 6-11, 7-11 defeat.
