Men's Track and Field Opens 2025 at the Bomber Invite

Frazee wins the 5000 meters, Miller posts AARTFC qualifying time

Ithaca, NY - The Vassar College Men's Track and Field team returned to action for the first time in 2025 as the Brewers put together some strong showings at the Bomber Invite.

5000 Meters
  • Sophomore Max Frazee was victorious in the 5000-meters for the Brewers with a time of 15:34.80 followed by senior Kai Chang finishing third in 15:50.11.
  • Vassar collected the sixth, seventh and eighth place finishes as senior Jackson Bernreuter finished with a time of 16:07.00 for sixth, classmate Levi Lilienthal was seventh in 16:16.96 and senior Jason Cirrito was eighth in 16:23.24.
60 Meter Hurdles
  • Senior Jae Young Seo notched a 19th place finish with a time of 9.25 while senior Max Bergman crossed the finish line in 10.12 for 28th place overall.
60 Meters Mile
  • Sophomore Sean Miller collected a third place finish in a AARTFC qualifying time of 4:19.74 followed by senior Jose Magana finishing in ninth position in 4:25.26.
  • Senior Tim Buchan crossed the finish line in 20th place with a time of 4:34.95 while senior Nick Redstone tabled a time of 4:47.89 and junior Xavier Silverio tallied a time of 4:49.09 to score top-40 finishes.
  • First year Zeke DeMercurio earned a time of 5:07.12 followed by first year Oscar Olson Gross with a time of 5:07.21 and senior John Hurly scored a time of 5:08.80.
200 Meters
  • Fernandes and Sellitti finished back-to-back in the 200 meters as Sellitti crossed the finish line in 24.43 followed by Fernandes in 24.48.
4x400 Relay
  • The relay squad of Fernandes, Sellitti, Bergman and Redstone scored a 10th place finish in 3:40.64 followed by the team of Miller, Buchan, Silverio and Bernreuter finishing 12th in 3:41.98.
Shot Put
  • Sophomore Adam Finnimore scored a toss of 10.68 meters for a top-35 finish in the shot put.
Long Jump
  • Bergman advanced to the finals and finished eighth overall with a leap of 6.37 meters along with Young Seo recording a mark of 5.43 meters.
Up Next
  • Vassar heads to the Blue and Orange Invite at Utica next weekend beginning on Friday.
