Women’s Soccer Features Four All-Region III Selections From United Soccer Coaches

Panarelli tabbed First Team All-Region

Kansas City, MO – The 2025 Liberty League Champion Vassar College Women's Soccer team received four All-Region III selections from the United Soccer Coaches it was announced Tuesday. Junior Gianna Panarelli (Jensen Beach, FL) was made a First Team selection, seniors Lindsey Nihei (Honolulu, HI) and Rebecca Rodriguez (Santa Barbara, CA) were both made Second Team picks and First Year Ava Holman (St. Louis, MO) was named Third Team.
 
Panarelli, a 2025 First Team All-Liberty League selection, finished the season second on the team with nine goals, four game winning goals and 21 points. Panarelli, who scored at least one goal in five of the team's final eight games of the season, potted the game winner in a 1-0 Liberty League Championship Semifinal victory against Ithaca just 20 seconds into overtime.
 
Panarelli finished the campaign ranked third in the Liberty League in total points and tied for third in the conference in total goals and game winning goals.
 
Rodriguez closed out a standout career for the Brewers as a First Team All-Liberty League pick and as an All-Region selection for the first time. Rodriguez led the team and the conference with nine assists, adding a pair of goals for 13 points. Rodriguez was fourth on the team in minutes played among field players with 1,279.
 
Rodriguez started 19 games in the midfield for the Brewers and led the conference in total assists by two while pacing the conference with .474 assists per game.
 
Nihei, another first-time First Team All-Conference and All-Region pick for the Brewers, helped to anchor Vassar's backline. The Vassar defense surrendered just 14 goals in 20 contests in 2025 with Nihei ranking second on the team among field players with nearly 1,400 minutes played. Following a pair of shutouts in the 2025 Liberty League Championships, Nihei was tabbed the events Most Outstanding Performer.
 
Holman burst onto the scene in 2025 and earns All-Region accolades on the heels of being named Second Team All-Liberty League and the conference's Rookie of the Year. Holman closed out her rookie campaign leading the Brewers in goals (10), game winning goals (5) and points (23).
 
Holman scored multiple goals in a game three times in 2025, including the deciding tally in Vassar's 1-0 win over RIT in the Liberty League Championship Final. Holman finished the season tied for the conference lead in game winning goals while ranking second in both total goals and total points.
 
Vassar closed a historic 2025 season with a program record 16 victories while claiming the program's first Liberty League title and making its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
