Brewers Drop Road Decision At Skidmore

Lakhan wins two events for Vassar

Saratoga Springs, NY – The Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team returned to the pool Saturday afternoon, battling in a 164-123 defeat on the road at Skidmore. The Brewers won seven events on the day, including two individual victories for First Year Kieran Lakhan (Kensington, MD).
 
For The Brewers
  • Lakhan continued a strong start to his collegiate career on Saturday with victories in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.01) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.05).
  • Jack Powers (Amherst, NY) continued strong showings in the distance freestyle events, winning the 1,000-yard race for the Brewers (10:21.62) and taking the runner-up position in the 500-yard competition (5:02.55).
  • Lucas Jauregui (Barrington, RI) bested the field for Vassar in the 100-yard backstroke (55.42).
  • Elam Estella (Colorado Springs, CO) was victorious on Saturday in the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.98).
  • Mike Seaton (Hoboken, NY) put together another strong meet for Vassar against the Thoroughbreds, winning the 100-yard freestyle (48.46) and taking second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.31).
  • Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA) swam to a second-place finish for Vassar in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.47) and added a third-place swim in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.12).
  • Ricky Kurosawa (Las Vegas, NV) in the 100-yard breaststroke, Eli House (Oneonta, NY) in the 50-yard freestyle, Sebastian Chang-Leung (Silver Spring, MD) in the 200-yard breaststroke and Alex Graber (Harrison, NY) in the 400-yard individual medley all scored third-place finishes for the Brewers.
  • Vassar opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay team with the team of Jauregui, Lakhan, Seaton and House posting a time of 1:39.08.
  • The 400-yard freestyle team of Jauregui, House, Seiss and Seaton closed the day with a second-place showing with a time of 3:21.08.
 
What's Next
  • Vassar returns home for the first time since the season opener on November 15 when it hosts RPI.
