Troy, NY – Vassar College First Year Kieran Lakhan (Kensington, MD) was honored with Liberty League Rookie of the Week honors it was revealed Monday afternoon. Lakhan becomes the second Brewer to win a Rookie of the Week award, joining Jack Powers (Amherst, NY) who was honored on October 27.
 
Lakhan had a standout meet for Vassar on Saturday in a home meet against league rival RPI. Lakhan scored three individual victories for the Brewers against the Engineers, topping the field in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.29) in a season best time as well as the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.22) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:03.24).
 
Lakhan and Vassar stand at 2-4 overall on the season and will be off from competition until December 4 when it opens the three-day Bomber Invitational hosted by Ithaca.
