Poughkeepsie, NY - The Vassar College Men's Basketball team, who was picked second in the Liberty League Preseason Poll, opens the 2025-26 season on Wednesday evening with an exhibition against local foe Marist before hosting the Hochberg Family Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15.

- Vassar finished last season 16-10 overall and finished with a program best conference record of 12-6 to earn the three seed in the Liberty League Championship.
- The Brewers return its top three scores from a season ago, including NABC Third Team All-American and reigning Liberty League Player of the Year Shea Fitzgerald who finished last season averaging 19.7 points per game and led the team in assists with 75. He was the first player in Vassar program history to be named NABC All-American and All-Region along with D3Hoops.com All-Region recognition.
- All-Liberty League selection junior Avery Lee also returns for Vassar as he averaged 15.5 points per contest and added 65 assists.
- Senior Nathan Denham is back for his final season after finishing his junior campaign with 9.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while leading the team in steals with 50 and blocks with 25.
- Juniors Kreekor Karageuzian and Sebastian Medina also return for the Brewres after starting in almost all of last season's games as Karageuzian was second in assists with 67 while Medina was second in rebounding at 5.0 per game.
- Senior JP Miranda, senior Sacha Greenberg, sophomore Will Gregory, junior Eric Zhang, junior Kale Elmhorst and junior Noah Mann will all add important minutes off the bench for the Brewers in 2025-26.

- Last season's Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year returns as Head Coach Ryan Mee enters his eight season at the helm of the Brewers along with assistant coach Leo Clibanoff in his second season.
The Schedule
- Following the season opener at Marist, Vassar will host SUNY Geneseo, Colby-Sawyer and Hartford in the Hochberg Family Tip-Off Tournament on Friday and Saturday,
- The Brewers will then hit the road for the Hudson Valley Classic against New Paltz (November 21) and Mount Saint Mary (November 22).
- After a road trip to Williams on December 2, Vassar opens Liberty League play at home against Ithaca (December 5) and Hobart (December 6).
- VC then clashes with Skidmore on December 10 before flying west to take on Claremont Mudd-Scripps on December 30 and Chapman on January 2.
- Following the west coast swing, Vassar dives back into conference play at home against Clarkson (January 9) and St. Lawrence (January 10).
- Vassar plays three straight road conference games from January 16-20 against RIT, Union and Skidmore before returning home for preseason favorite RPI (January 23) and Bard (January 24).
- The Brewers return to the road for the next four conference matchups against St. Lawrence, Clarkson, RPI and Bard.
- The final two home conference games of the season fall against Union (February 13) and Senior Day against RIT (February 14).
- Vassar will close the regular season on the road against Hobart (February 20) and Ithaca on February 21.
- The Liberty League Championship will begin with first round matchups on February 24 followed by the semifinals on February 27 and the conference champion will be crowned on March 1.
