Karina Hoffman winning the Offensive Performer of the Week, senior
Gianna Hoover earning Defensive Performer of the Week honors and first year
Sydney Yu scoring Rookie of the Week recognition.
Hoffman had a monster week for the Brewers as the junior scored three goals and added an assist while scoring both game-winning goals to help lead the Brewers to their first conference championship since 2021. Hoffman scored both goals in the 2-1 victory over William Smith in the semifinals before scoring the eventual game-winner and adding an assist in the 4-2 victory over Union in the conference final. Hoffman was named the Championship's Most Outstanding Performer following the tournament's conclusion.
Hoover recorded her fifth defensive save of the season in Vassar's 4-2 conference championship victory over Union on Saturday as the defensive save kept the game scoreless at the time during the third quarter. The senior leads the team in defensive saves and now ranks tied for fourth in program history.
Yu scored her second career goal in the 4-2 victory over Union in the Liberty League Championship final to help lead Vassar to its first conference title since 2021. Yu has tallied two goals and two assists in her first year campaign for six total points.
Vassar will travel to Williams on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. for a NCAA First Round matchup.
