Troy, NY – Two Vassar College Men's Soccer student-athletes earned recognition from the Liberty League it was announced on Monday with senior Jared Fiske (Livingston, NJ) named the conference's Offensive Performer of the Week and First Year Zapp Hotz (Ridgewood, NY) collecting Rookie of the Week accolades.
 
Fiske continued a strong senior campaign last week, recording eight points in two games on the strength of three goals and two assists. Fiske scored twice, including the game winning goal, and added an assist on Wednesday in a 4-1 win over Bard and added a goal and an assist on Saturday in a 3-2 home victory against RIT.
 
With his scoring output last week, Fiske leads the Brewers with nine goals and ranks second on the squad with four assists and 22 points. Among the conference leaders, Fiske sits atop the league leaderboard in total goals and is second in points per game (2.20).
 
Hotz played a hand in both victories for the Brewers last week on the way to earning his first career weekly award. Hotz totaled three points over two games, scoring his second goal of the season against Bard on Wednesday and picking up his third assist of the season in Saturday's triumph over RIT.
 
Through 10 career games, Hotz ranks third on the team in assists (3) and points (7).
 
Unbeaten in its last four outings, Vassar stands at 6-2-2 overall and 2-0-0 in Liberty League play. Next up for the Brewers is a trip to Union on Wednesday.
