Vassar Competes At Montclair State

Little wins two individual events

Montclair, NJ – The Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team continued the 2025-26 season Friday evening with a 173-115 road loss at Montclair State. The Brewers won seven events in the meet, including two individual wins for Anna Little (North Huntingdon, PA).

Friday's defeat drops Vassar to 3-1 on the season, while Montclair State improves to 2-2 through the season's first four events.

For The Brewers

Little had a standout meet for the Brewers, taking the top spot in both the 100-yard (1:09.52) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.62) events.
Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) had a strong meet for Vassar on Friday after winning the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:12.68) and taking second in the 100-yard freestyle (57.09).
Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) topped the field in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.51) and earned a runner-up finish in the 50-yard freestyle (25.30) and a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (57.12).
Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) was victorious for Vassar in the 100-yard butterfly on Friday (2:13.99) and added a second-place showing in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.32).
Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ) turned in a strong swim in the 500-yard freestyle, winning the event in 5:32.61. Hoagland added a second-place finish for Vassar in the 200-yard freestyle event (2:02.14).
Abigail Ford (Califon, NJ) had a strong meet for the Brewers on Friday, swimming to a second-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley (2:16.67) and a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (25.51).
First Year Clare Baker (Lafayette, CA) placed third for Vassar in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.03).
Izzy Holmes (New York, NY) finished third on Friday in the 100-yard butterfly (2:19.67).
The 200-yard medley relay team of Baker, Little, Li and Ford opened the meet with a victory after swimming a time of 1:53.34.
The 200-yard freestyle team of McLaughlin, Baker, Wiener and Ford closed the night with a runner-up finish with a time of 1:43.43.

What's Next

Vassar is back in the pool on November 8 in a road meet at Skidmore.
