#19 Women's Cross Country Excels at Conn College Invitational

Brewers finish sixth in the white race, 11th in the blue race

New London, CT - The Vassar Women's Cross Country posted two strong finishes at the Conn College Invitational on Saturday as the Brewers finished sixth out of 34 teams in the White Race followed by finishing 11th of 37 teams in the Blue Championship Race at Harkness State Park. Junior Haley Schoenegge recorded a 17th place finish out of 261 total finishers to lead Vassar in the Blue Championship Race.

White Race - 6th of 34 teams

Vassar's Top Finishers
  • Senior Nora Goldberg-Courtney led the way with a 31st place finish with a career-best time of 23:09.3 followed closely by sophomore Sarah France in 32nd position with a time of 23:10.8.
  • Sophomore Hadley Snell tallied a 36th place mark in 23:15.7 along with first year Cate Feudtner in 40th place in a season-best 23:20.7.
  • First year Malaika Dechet-Wetzel earned a 41st place finish with a season-best time of 23:23.0 while first year Emerson Wyatt finished in 115th place with a mark of 24:36.3.
  • First year Taylor Vogt scored a 120th position finish with a time of 24:39.3 along with senior Max Sandrew finishing in the top-170 with a mark of 25:12.2.
  • Senior Isabelle Borgstedt crossed the finish line with a time of 26:17.3 and senior Lily Shimpach closed the Vassar finishers with a time of 26:44.8.

  • Schoenegge led the way for Vassar as she finished 17th overall with a time of 21:19.94 followed by senior Anika Mueller-Hickler in 68th position in 22:17.73.
  • Sophomore Chloe Bibula scored an 82nd place mark with a career-best time of 22:32.52 along with junior Cayley Swaim recording an 89th place mark in 22:37.84.
  • Junior Acadia Helfand finished in the top-120 with a time of 22:55.73 followed by junior Norah Reade in the top-130 with a mark of 22:58.87.
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Lowe closed out the Vassar finishers with a time of 23:15.45.
