West Hartford, CT – The Vassar College Men's Lacrosse team got back into the win column Wednesday evening following an 11-8 road win at the University of Hartford.
Troy Santise (Washington Township, NJ) led the team with six points and junior goalie
Drew Quinn (Garden City, NY) turned aside 16 shots in the victory.
Vassar improves to 6-2 overall on the season with the victory, while Hartford slips to 2-4 through six contests.
How It Happened
- Vassar outscored Hartford 5-2 in the opening 15 minutes, scoring the first four goals of the contest.
- Ian Zumpano (Towson, MD) completed a hat trick just over nine minutes into the game with Santise closing the opening surge with a goal and a helper.
- Anderson Eads (Brightwaters, NY) scored the Brewers' fifth goal of the quarter and finished the opening period with a goal and an assist.
- Vassar stifled Hartford in the second frame, scoring four of the five goals in the quarter.
- Santise scored two goals in the second frame and assisted on Zumpano's fourth goal of the contest with 3:38 left before halftime to send Vassar into the break holding a 9-3 lead.
