Schoenegge Scores National Runner-Up Finish; Vassar Earns Program-Best 20th Place Finish at NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships

Schoenegge records program's best finish at national meet

Terre Haute, IN - Sophomore Haley Schoenegge raced to a National Runner-Up finish and earned All-American status at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships and the #20 Vassar College Women's Cross Country team earned its best finish in program history with a 20th place team finish out of 32 teams at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Vassar's Top Finishers
  • Schoenegge put together the best finish in Vassar program history as the sophomore finished second out of 290 total finishers with a time of 20:58.2 and garners USTFCCCA All-American status for the first time in Schoenegge's cross country career.
  • Sophomore Adelaide Nyhan scored a career-best 84th overall finish in the national meet in a time of 22:15.4 followed by sophomore Norah Reade posting a strong 171st place finish in 22:46.3.
  • Sophomore Cayley Swaim crossed the finish line in 211th position with a time of 23:05.5 along with senior Noni Pattington closing her Vassar career with a time of 23:17.4 for a 225th place finish.
  • Senior Anna Kaigle posted a 227th place finish in a time of 23:18.0 followed by sophomore Acadia Helfand closing the Vassar finishers with a time of 23:23.8.
