Potsdam, NY – The #10 Vassar College Men's Soccer team closed out its trip to the North Country Saturday afternoon with a scoreless draw at Clarkson. Sophomore
Jacob Raphan (Oceanside, NY) finished the contest with his fourth shutout of the season in goal.
Saturday's draw moves Vassar to 9-2-2 overall on the season and 4-0-2 in Liberty League play, while Clarkson stands at 6-1-7 overall and 2-1-4 against conference rivals. Through play on Saturday, Vassar is two points clear of St. Lawrence for the top spot in the league, with Clarkson and Hobart three points back.
How It Happened
- Vassar outshot Clarkson 6-4 in the opening 45 minutes.
- Raphan turned aside a Josh Conklin attempt in the 31st minute for his only save of the opening stanza.
- Clarkson keeper, Carter Kladstrup, denied Vassar First Year Arden Tobolski (Chapel Hill, NC) in the 25th minute to keep the Brewers off the board prior to the break.
- Vassar finished the first half with a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
- Coming out of the break, both goalies were tested inside the first 15 minutes, but were up to the task.
- Kladstrup's final stop of the game came at the 66:27 mark when he turned aside a Duncan Keker (Oakland, CA) attempt.

- Raphan earned the shutout with two stops for Vassar, lowering his goals against average on the season to 1.02 while raising his save percentage to .739.

- Tobolski got off three attempts, putting one shot on frame.
