Beseth scores twice, Dumaresq and Wiley combine for the shutout in goal

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Senior Sarah Dumaresq and first year Grace Wiley combined for the second straight shutout victory as the Vassar College Field Hockey team earned a 3-0 home win over Muhlenberg on Sunday afternoon. The Brewers improve to 2-0 on the season while the Mules fall to 0-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Senior Jaclyn Narleski pushed the Brewers advantage to two on an assist from classmate Maggie Werner about two minutes later.
  • Raab threatened to score again off a penalty corner with just under two minutes left in the third but Wiley made another key stop to keep the 2-0 lead heading into the final period.
