ITHACA, NY - The third-seeded Vassar College Men's Tennis team fell to second-seeded Hobart 5-4 on Saturday evening in the Liberty League Semifinals at the Reis Tennis Center. The Statemen advance to the Championship match on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. against fourth-seeded Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Nolan Kubiak winning at one against Sean Pesin and Jett Wright 8-5. Nicholas Fisher and Aidan Staunton recorded a hard-fought 8-7 (7-5) victory at three over freshman
Ethan Mantell and sophomore
James Balon.
Pesin took the first victory in singles action as he triumphed 6-2, 6-1 over Bauermeister at one followed by Fischer defeating Balon 6-3, 6-2 at five. Kubiak scored a 6-4, 6-1 win at three over Winter Fagenberg before sophomore
Arnav Agostinho recorded a come-from-behind 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win at four against Hyat Oyer. Mantell squared the match up at four all with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 triumph over Jacob Linares at six. The match came down to a thriller in three sets as Lyu outlasted junior
Benjamin Almquist in a 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (7-0), 6-4 at two to advance to the Championship match.
Vassar finishes its season with a 13-6 overall record and 5-2 mark in Liberty League matches.
