ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Led by Kenny Wilburn's 20 points, the Rochester Institute of Technology earned a conference home victory over the Vassar College Men's Basketball team 66-52 on Friday evening. Vassar falls to 13-9 and 9-6 in conference play while the Tigers improve to 9-13 and 5-10 in Liberty League matchups.
RIT started strong in the opening minutes as a jumper from Keegan Ocorr put the Tigers ahead 14-6 with 14:46 remaining. Five points from sophomore

Michael Dixon trimmed the lead down to one with just under 13 minutes left. Senior
Jack Rothenberg's layup with 8:54 left gave Vassar its first lead of the day at 20-19 as the two teams traded buckets in the final minutes of the first half with RIT scoring the final four points of the half on buckets from Willburn and Chase Dickens to take a 31-26 into the halftime intermission.

Ethan Ellis to open the half, RIT went on a 11-0 run with Wilburn tallying six of the points and Mark Osime drilled a three-pointer to go up 42-28 with 14:52 remaining. VC got the lead back down to double digits on a lay-in from freshman
Nathan Denham with 7:58 to go in the half. RIT responded with a layup and a triple from Ocorr to extended its lead to 14 points at the 4:52 mark and the the Tigers closed the contest with holding the Brewers to four points in the final five minutes to clinch the victory.
Adams had a team-high 11 points off the bench for Vassar while Rothenberg added six points, five assists and nine boards. Junior
Case Parsons scored seven points while Dixon chipped in six points and five rebounds.Â
Wilburn finished the night with 20 points on 9-for-11 shooting and also grabbed seven rebounds. Osime added 11 points, five boards and two steals while Ocorr also had 11 points and tallied a game-high seven assists. Kevin Ryan recorded eight points and a game-high 11 rebounds along with two blocked shots.
Vassar shot 36.1-percent overall and knocked down four triples and four free throws while the Tigers finished shooting 54.9-percent and were 5-for-10 from three-point distance. RIT outscored the Brewers 15-6 on points off turnovers while Vassar held the edge in second chance points at 8-3.
VC finishes its four game road swing with a matchup with Skidmore tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m. RIT will take on Union at home tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
