ITHACA, NY – The Vassar College men's tennis team saw its season come to an end on Saturday, shouldering a tough loss to top-seeded Rensselaer in the 2022 Liberty League Semifinals at Cornell's Reis Tennis Center. The fourth-seeded Brewers, who fell by a 5-0 margin in today's action, conclude the season at 10-9, while the #1 Engineers advance to Sunday's Championship Match.
In doubles action, the third flight was off court first as RPI's Eddie Wu and Suhas Krishnan posted an 8-5 win over Vassar sophomore
Arun Guruswamy and rookie
James Balon. Next was the second flight as Max Safanov and Igor Visnevkij battled to an 8-7 (7-5) tiebreaker victory over Brewers sophomores
Jay Wong and
Benjamin Almquist.
Finally at one, RPI's Aiden Drover-Mattinen and Peter Lohrbach won a hard-fought 8-7 (8-6) win over Vassar senior

Arnav Agostinho as the Engineers battled back down four points in the tiebreaker to earn the win and a 3-0 lead heading into singles.
Singles action saw Drover-Mattinen make it a 4-0 lead from one, posting a 6-4, 6-3 win over Wong, while Lohrbach earned the match decision with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Brewers sophomore
