ITHACA, NY - The Ithaca women's lacrosse team used a dominant first half of action to post a 19-2 victory over Vassar College in Liberty League action on Saturday afternoon. The #10 Bombers are now 10-1 with a 6-1 league record, while the Brewers move to 3-8 and 1-5 in the Liberty League.
Ithaca opened the game with a dominant effort, building up a 14-0 advantage through the first two quarters. The Bombers continued to dominate into the third, scoring three goals to open the frame before the Brewers scored at the 2:00 minute mark of the third stanza.

Maddy Kretten fired in a shot at the 14:10 mark.
The Bombers saw Maizy Veitch record five goals on the afternoon. Megan Motkowski added four goals with two assists, while Chloe Nordyke had two tallies and four assists. Caroline Wise and Alexa Ritchie each had three goals, while Wise also had nine draw controls. In goal, Lexi Held posted four saves for the win, while Kayla Howley played the final 30 minutes in relief and had two saves.
For Vassar, senior captain Ashley Roberst and rookie
Emma Torkelson each had two draw controls, while junior
Caroline Smith added two caused turnovers with two ground balls. In goal, sophomore
Lauren Johns had six stops in the loss.
Vassar returns to action next Saturday, hosting Union for Senior day at 1pm on Weinberg Turf Field.
