Box Score HOBOKEN, NJ – The Vassar College men's tennis team shouldered a tough 6-3 loss to Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon in non-league action. The Ducks are now 10-4 overall, while the Brewers move to 9-7.
Doubles action opened with a victory for the Brewers as the third flight duo of sophomore 
Arun Guruswamy and rookie 
James Balon posted an 8-6 win over sophomore Aashi Kulakarni and rookie Sebastian Wroe.
Stevens battled back at two as senior Marc Feliu and rookie Troy Zhang recorded an 8-4 win over Vassar sophomores 
Jay Wong and 
Benjamin Almquist. The Ducks grabbed the 2-1 lead with a victory at one with freshman Olof Persson and graduate student Keegan Morris posting an 8-6 win over Brewers senior 
Mathew Yee and rookie 
Arnav Agostinho.
Heading into singles action, Wong pulled the match score even with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Morris from the first flight. Two was next off as Feliu grinded out a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win over Yee for the 3-2 match margin. Another hard-fought match came at four as Kulakarni posted a 5-7, 6-1, 7-5 win over Agostinho, and the Ducks secured the match victory from three as rookie Vivek Harinarayan won a tough 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-0) decision against Almquist.
The Brewers rebounded as senior 
Mihajlo Ivanovic gutted out an outstanding 6-7 (8-10), 6-4, 1-0 (10-2) win against Wroe at five. Stevens closed out the match at six with yet another dramatic win as Zhang recorded a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (13-11) win against VC sophomore 
Nihal Kothari.
Vassar is back on the courts next Saturday (Apr. 30) when it hosts its regular season finale at 10 am on Josselyn Courts against Hobart College.
