Box Score BRONX, NY – Behind a fifth flight victory from senior 
Mihajlo Ivanovic, the Vassar College men's tennis team posted a 5-4 victory over New York University on Sunday morning at the Stadium Tennis Center. The Brewers move to 7-6 overall, while the Violets are now 1-8 on the season.
Action got underway in doubles as NYU junior Alex Yang and rookie Zachary Freier posted an 8-4 victory over Vassar senior 
Mathew Yee and freshman 
Arnav Agostinho from the first flight. The Brewers rebounded from two as sophomores 
Benjamin Almquist and 
Jay Wong gutted out an 8-7 (7-4) victory over graduate student Andy Watterson and sophomore Joseph He.
Finally from three, Vassar sophomore 
Arun Guruswamy and rookie 
James Balon also had an outstanding match, powering their way to an 8-7 (7-4) win against sophomore Rumaish Khastgir and freshman Shrey Arora.
Singles action got underway at six with a 6-1, 6-1 victory by Khastgir over Vassar sophomore 
Nihal Kothari to tie the match at 2-2, but the Brewers answered as Agostinho notched a 6-3, 6-1 win over NYU sophomore Max O'Malley from four, followed by a 7-5, 6-1 win by Yee at two over Freier to move the match score to 4-2.
Ivanovic sealed the match win for the visiting Brewers, posting a 7-5, 7-5 win against Watterson at five for the 5-2 margin. Next off court was the third flight as He notched a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) win against Almquist.
The match concluded at one as Yang won a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 battle over Wong to conclude the day's action.
Vassar is back on court next Saturday, traveling to St. Lawrence for a 10:30am Liberty League tilt. NYU is now idle until April 21st for the UAA Championships.
