POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Vassar College Men's Rugby team collected an emphatic win over Montclair State on Saturday afternoon as the Brewers posted a 61-0 victory over the Red Hawks. Senior Tyler Eberts (McArthur, OH) and junior Bryce DiNardo (Underhill, VT) each recorded three tries as Vassar improved to 2-2 overall on the season.

Two Vassar players scored hat-tricks - Bryce DiNardo and Tyler Eberts. Both were very deserving for they work hard all the while. Eberts has battled on this season with knocks and injuries while DiNardo has excelled at scrumhalf tackling everything that moves and distributing the ball well. Today his alertness led to tries for himself and the team.

The forwards had some good driving moments and punched forward against the MSU defenders and the quickness of the ball that was won allowed the backs to launch attacks. Carl Aller continued his strong fall campaign as he recorded two tries for the Brewers as Hector Contreras, Jack O'Brien and Olly-Skeet Browning each tallied a try in the convincing victory over the Red Hawks.

A 44-0 lead at the half was testimony to the difference in the teams but the call was for a more disciplined second period and to stick to the team structures.

The Brewers will take on New Paltz next Saturday to conclude its fall campaign. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. with the Hawks.
