SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. –
The Vassar College men's swimming & diving team returned to competitive action for the first time in more than a month on Saturday afternoon.  In a dual meet held at the Mount Holyoke College Natatorium, the Brewers fell to Trinity by a 166-114 count.

"We are excited by what we were able to do today, bouncing back from last night's training trip return and showing up to race well," Head Coach Lisl Prater-Lee said.  "Still, we know that we have even more we can accomplish and are looking forward to seeing more of that come into play this week in the training pool."

Max White (Green Bay, WI) began the day with a victory in the 200 yard freestyle (1:45.78).  He also took first in the 500 freestyle (4:52.78) and placed second in the 100 backstroke, posting a time of 55.73 seconds less than 15 minutes after finishing the 200 freestyle.  Duncan Webber (New York, NY) was third in that race with a 1:00.58 clocking.

Jake Mier (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) also earned a pair of event wins.  He broke the 2:00 barrier in the 200 butterfly, finishing in 1:59.32.  Mier's other victory came in the 200 individual medley, where he notched a time of 2:02.98.  In addition, he took third in the 100 butterfly (54.71).

In the 200 breaststroke, Will Riley (Newton, MA) surged over the second half of the race to earn a come-from-behind victory.  He finished in a personal-best time of 2:20.92.  Riley also placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.52).  Nikolas Pham (Lancaster, PA) was the winner of that event.  He rallied from behind over the final 50 yards to touch the wall in 1:02.72.

Matthew Imiolek (St. Louis, MO), meanwhile, took second in the 50 freestyle with a 22.92-second clocking.  Jordan Kalina (Palatine, IL) and Ethan Skuches (Milford, CT) went 2-3 in the 1000 freestyle.  Kalina's time was 10:37.00, while Skuches finished in 10:39.44.  Skuches also placed third in the 200 backstroke (2:09.83), and Kalina was third in the 500 freestyle (5:15.64).
