Skidmore used a strong first quarter to really take control of the game. The Thoroughbreds tallied two quick goals before Stebel found the back of the net for Vassar. Three more goals for the visitors had them up 5-1 with under four minutes to play in the first. Diamond would score his goal just seconds later to end the first quarter scoring.
Both teams tallied just one goal in the second quarter to enter halftime with a 6-3 score line. Meade capitalized on a man-up opportunity for the Brewers off a Stebel feed.
Skidmore scored twice in the third quarter, both on man-up goals as part of a 5-0 scoring run to extend their lead to 10-3. At the 9:02 mark of the fourth, Thomas tallied the first Vassar goal of the second half to make it 10-4. The Brewers final goal of the season was a highlight reel score as Lowery won the faceoff and took it himself through the heart of the defense to pick the top corner of the net for his third goal of the season.
At the faceoff "X", Lowery went 14-20 with 10 groundballs. The sophomore finished the season with a .637 faceoff win percentage, breaking his own single-season program record that he set as a freshman.
