SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (February 6, 2018) – The Vassar women's basketball team earned a critical road win over Skidmore, 55-51, to improve their conference record to 10-4. Their 10 Liberty League victories is the most in a season since the 2013-14 campaign in which they went 13-3.

Kim Romanoff was strong on the glass, grabbing nine boards to go along with two points and two assists.
Both teams struggled out of the gates as the first bucket didn't come until the 6:37 mark of the opening quarter. Romanoff hit a jumper to put the Brewers up 2-0 to kick off the scoring. The Thoroughbreds ended the first on top 12-10.
Nick tied the game at 12-12 with the first basket of the second frame. The Brewer defense clamped down, holding Skidmore to just six points over the second 10 minutes. Vassar was able to build a four-point lead before the halftime break.
Those four points would prove to be the difference in the game as both sides tallied 33 in the second half. Vassar built their lead to eight midway through the frame as
