POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (February 13, 2018) – The Vassar College men's tennis team will face one of its toughest tests of the season on Saturday afternoon, hosting No. 24 Skidmore College in an important Liberty League test in Walker Field House. VC will look to build on its strong weekend up in Rochester, knocking off the University of Rochester 6-3 and Rochester Institute of Technology 8-1.

A Look At The Brewers (4-1):
- Vassar has had much success in doubles in dual meets this year, winning 73.3 percent of their matches. Vassar has dropped just one decision at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles this year.
- Freshman Adam Krueger and partner Jeremy Auh lead the team with a 5-2 mark this season.
- Vassar is 22-15 in singles play this season, including a 20-10 record in dual matches.
- The Brewers have seen freshman David Gandham go 6-2 this season, going undefeated at No. 2 and No. 5 singles.
- Sophomore Dom Demeterfi has won his last two matches, and is now 2-1 on the season at No. 5 singles for the Brewers.
- Junior Jamie Anderson has returned from his semester away to go 2-0 in his first two matches at No. 4 singles.
- Doubles team Nicolas Demaria and Nick Zuczek are undefeated since being paired together this spring.
- VC hosts just its first of four spring home meets this season.
A Look At The Thoroughbreds (2-0):
- The Skidmore College Thoroughbreds have dominated league action of the last handful of years, winning the four conference crowns.
- Skidmore lost All-American Kai Yuen Leung to graduation, but the team is still stocked with talent, including sophomores Jack McClaren and JT Wynne.
- Wynne was the ITA Northeast Regional winner back in the fall, defeating teammate Steven Koulouris for the title.
- Wynne is 7-1 on the season not including ITA Nationals, while McClaren is 7-2 to tie for the team lead in wins.
- Travis Leaf is 5-2 as well, while Koulouris has chalked up a 6-2 mark in singles.
- In doubles, Koulouris and Wynne are 8-1 on the season, which includes winning the ITA Northeast Regional title in straight sets.
- Jason Keye and McClaren are 4-2 together as well this season.
Against Skidmore: Vassar is looking for its first win over the T'Breds since the 2012-13 season, when Vassar knocked off Skidmore 5-2 in the Liberty League Championship match. VC's last regular season win over the Thoroughbreds was in 2007-08.
