POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 3, 2018) – The Brewers are in action for the first time in 2018 with two home games this weekend against Clarkson and Saint Lawrence. Vassar opens the weekend with a Friday night matchup against the Golden Knights and then face the Saints on Saturday afternoon.

Last Time Out: The Brewers took down the King's College Monarchs in their second game of the Jamie Lynn Roberts – Fairfield Inn Holiday Tournament. Sophomore Sophie Nick recorded a career-high 25 points and added 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Nicole Teta was the only other Brewer in double figures with 11 points all to her own, but Vassar scored in a variety of ways as eight other players registered a point against the Monarchs.

• Nick was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week after averaging 24.0 points, 9.5 boards, 1.0 assist, and 0.5 blocks per game last week.

• Clarkson is coming off a 71-67 win over Houghton College on December 9 and will play on Friday for the first time in nearly four weeks.
• Clarkson makes 7.3 three-point shots per game to lead the league in that category.
• Devin Sorell ranks fourth in the Liberty League scoring 16.2 points per game.
• Madison Shea leads the team with 6.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.

A Look at the Saints (2-7, 0-2 Liberty League):

•  St. Lawrence took part in the Juniata Holiday Classic and picked up a win over Gwynedd Mercy University in their last time out. The Saints will face Bard on Friday before Saturday's matchup.
