Vassar Men's Basketball Notes - Union, Bard

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 17, 2018) – Vassar looks to close out the first half of league play strong with two more road contests this weekend. The Brewers face Union on Friday at 8:00 p.m. and then Bard on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Last Time Out: The Brewers lost a close match at RIT, 57-61, last Saturday afternoon. Lance Tebay led the Brewer offense with 15 points, his third straight game scoring in double figures. Senior Jesse Browne added 11 points and 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season, while Paul Grinde tallied 12 points and eight boards.
 
A Look at the Brewers (4-10, 3-4 Liberty League):
  • Freshman Lance Tebay earned Liberty League and ECAC Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game.

  • Kevin Weckworth is third in the Liberty League in scoring, pouring in 19.5 points per game.
