POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 10, 2018) – The Brewers begin a six-game Liberty League road trip with two games away from home this weekend. On Friday, Vassar faces RPI at 6:00 p.m. and then head to RIT for a 2:00 p.m. match up on Saturday.

Last Time Out: The Brewers got back on track with a 63-46 win over Skidmore on Tuesday night. Sophie Nick powered the offense with 19 points and added eight rebounds. Nicole Teta chipped in 15 points, while Isa Peczuh came off the bench and tallied 12 points for Vassar. Leading the rebounding category was senior Ariella Rosenthal  who grabbed 11 on the night.
 
A Look at the Brewers (8-4, 3-2 Liberty League):

• Niocle Teta has scored in double figures in six of the past seven games, including 15 points the last time out against the Thoroughbreds.
• Against Skidmore, the Brewers did not attempt a single free-throw marking the first time that has happened since December 7, 2003 in a 71-57 win over Bryn Mawr College.
• The Brewers lead the league in three-point field goal percentage, shooting 0.333 this season.
• The Vassar three-point defense ranks third in the league, holding opponents to just 0.262 shooting from behind the line.
• Sophie Nick leads the league in free-throw percentage at 0.886.
• Ariella Rosenthal is seventh in the conference in rebounding with 6.8 per game.
• Rosenthal and Samarah Cook are the team leaders with 2.2 assists per game.

A Look at the Engineers (7-5, 3-2 Liberty League):

• RPI is just 1-2 since the new year, but won their last outing against William Smith, 59-53.
• The Engineers offense averages 61.8 points per game this season, fifth best in the league.
• Their defense allows just 52.4 points per game, which is second best in the conference.
• Elizabeth Eckhardt ranks seventh in the league in scoring, averaging 12.8 points per game while knocking down the second most three-pointers per game (2.2).
• Leading the league in rebounding is Shaina Iton who pulls down 9.1 boards per game.

 
Against RPI All-Time: The Brewers are 15-27 against the Engineers all-time dating back to their first meeting in 1988. Vassar has won four of the previous five matchups against RPI, falling by just two points (62-64) in last season's regular season finale.
