Last Time Out: The Brewers lost 2-0 on a rainy Sunday afternoon to NYU. The Violets started the scoring early with a chip shot over the head of goalkeeper
Fiona Walsh in the seventh minute. Out of the break, the Violet pressure continued and finally broke through the Vassar defense for a second goal. Walsh made a terrific save, but was unable to control the rebound and Charlie Herbertz of NYU collected the ball and put it in the back of the net to give her squad a 2-0 advantage in the 77
th minute.
A Look At The Brewers (0-1-1)
- Freshmen Ashley Ferry and Fiona Walsh have led the Brewers thus far on offense and defense respectively.
- Ferry leads the team with three points after notching a goal and an assist in her debut against Montclair State.
- Fiona Walsh has started both games in net for the Brewers, playing all 200 minutes while colleting 10 saves.
- Savannah Cutler came off the bench in Friday's outing and knocked in the second Vassar goal in the 54th minute.

A Look At The Colonials (2-0-0)
- West Conn. earned two wins at the Engineers Cup hosted by RPI during the opening weekend of the season.
- On Friday, September 1, the Colonials shutout the hosts 2-0 and then on Saturday, the squad shutout Buffalo State 3-0.
- Junior Allison Oakley and senior Andrew DeVoe are tied for the team lead with two goals each.
- Senior Autumn Sorice leads the Colonials with two assists.
- Senior goalkeeper Jillian Fernandez has played the full 180 minutes for West Conn. this season, posting six saves and two shutouts with two wins.
Against Western Connecticut All-Time: Vassar is 3-8-0 all-time against the Colonials dating back to 1994. Last season, West Conn. won on September 7 in Poughkeepsie, 2-1.
