Last Time Out: The Brewers got their second win of the season after a 3-1 victory over Mount Saint Mary on Sunday afternoon. Vassar went down early when the Knights converted a penalty kick in the ninth minute, but the team responded with three unanswered goals to come out ahead.
Tanner Sands tied the game in the 37
th minute after a string of passes from
Hayden Van Brewer and
Tyler Gilmore led to his score. Out of the break, Van Brewer put his side up for good when he unleashed a shot into the top corner of the goal. Then just about 12 minutes later,
Mattie Mrlik controlled a
Toby Stansell pass and shot it around the Knights keeper for the final goal of the day.

- Manhattanville lost its season opener to No. 14 SUNY Oneonta, 4-0, on Friday afternoon.
- Both Christian Araujo and Jon Kyriakidis fired off two shots against the Red Dragons.
- Tim Carsting started the game for the Valiants posting five saves in the loss.
- Last season, Manhattanville went 11-7 overall with a 4-3 conference record.
Against Manhattanville All-Time: Vassar is 18-7-0 all-time against the Valiants dating back to 1988. Last season, Vassar won 2-1 in Poughkeepsie on September 6.
