POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (September 25, 2017) – The Vassar College Women's Volleyball team will travel south to Hoboken, New Jersey to compete in a non-conference match against the Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, September 27^th at 7pm.

Last Time Out: The Brewers went 2-0 last weekend at Kenyon Hall, beating two conference teams. The Brewer squad beat RIT in straight sets and then took down Ithaca College in four sets.
 
A Look at The Brewers (10-3, 2-0 LL): 

• Vassar College Women's Volleyball just came out of a big conference weekend, going 2-0.
• The Brewers remain an offensive threat with the highest attack percentage in the Liberty League (.248), terminating 12.17 balls per set.  
• Offensive gun, Devan Gallagher continues to leads the league with an average 4.96 kills per set.  
• Junior setter, Annie MacMillan  effectively runs the Brewer offense, posting 10.80 assists/set, second in the league.
• Serving tough from the baseline, the Brewers continue to lead their league with 2.96 aces/set with both Lauren Ninkovich and Annie MacMillan averaging above .6 aces/set.
• As a team, Vassar has earned 687 digs on the season, earning an average 16.4 digs/set on the season.
• Defensively, five Brewers average above a 2.4 digs/set. Junior Devan Gallagher leading the team defensively with 146 total digs (3.56 sigs/set).
• Sophomore middle Colette Cambey continues to lead the team blocking, earning a total 25 blocks on the season, averaging .63/set. Jennifer Kerbs is right behind her, adding adds .46 blocks/set (18 total blocks).

 
A Look at the Ducks (15-2, 4-0 Empire 8)

• Stevens Institute of Technology currently has a 13-game winning streak.
• Most recently, on Saturday, September 23 the Ducks earned a straight-set win against Utica College.
• As a team, Stevens Institute of Technology averages 12.6 kills/set, with a season hitting percentage of .233.
• Offensively, the Ducks have a spread offense with four players earning over 100 kills this season, including Mitchell Taleen, Emily Singleton, Sara Hain and Casey King.

Against Stevens All-TIme: Facing Stevens Institute of Technology, VC is 7-14 all-time. The last time Vassar beat the Ducks was in 2005 when the Brewers took home a 3-1 victory. In their last match-up on October 5^th, Stevens Institute of Technology came out on top in a tight five-set match.
