Last Time Out: The Vassar women's soccer team's League opener resulted in a tough 1-1 tie with RIT after a full game of soccer and two overtime periods last Saturday afternoon. Tied 0-0 at half, Ashley Ferry placed a beautiful goal in the back of the net from fellow freshman Ally Thayer in the 57th minute to put the Brewers up by one. In heartbreaking fashion, the Tigers scored in the 86th minute to tie the match. Both teams battled it out for two 10-minute overtime periods, but neither team was able to score again. Despite the result, the women's team had a fantastic first showing in the Liberty League and are looking forward to what's next to come in league play.
