POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (September 11, 2017) – The Vassar College Women's Volleyball team will look to continue their winning streak after winning the Vassar Invitational 4-0 without dropping a set. The Brewers will travel south to play a tri-match against Lehman College and Montclair State University at Montclair, NJ.

Last Time Out: The Brewers hit .369 earning 51 terminations in the straight-set win against Bates College, 25-11, 25-18, 25-22. Junior Captain Annie MacMillan distributed 42 assists across the Brewer's offense as Devan Gallagher (18), Colette Cambey (12)  and Jane McLeod (11) earned double-digit terminations. Teammate Jorden Schreeder added 18 digs proving to be a crucial part of the Brewers' defense.
 
A Look At The Brewers (7-2): 

• The Brewers enter the Montclair State tri-match leading the Liberty League with a team average .248 hitting percentage and a total 391 kills on the season.  
• VC also leads their conference with an average 13.48 kills per set and ranks second with an average 17.07 digs per set.
• Vassar Women's Volleyball continues to be a threat from the end line as the team leads their conference in total services aces (29) and average aces per set (3.38).
• Junior Devan Gallagher rests third in the league with a .309 hitting percentage, while leading the conference in kills per set with 5.07. Sophomore Jane Mcleod is right behind her, ranking second with an average 3.62 kills per set.
• Junior Annie MacMillan ranks second in the league with an average 11.14 assists per set.
• Sophomore Jorden Schreeder  and Devan Gallagher both average 3.52 digs per set which is fourth best in the league.
• Sophomore Colette Cambey leads the team with 19 total blocks on the season with an average .66 block/set which is 8^th best in the league.
• The Brewers have not dropped a single set as they look to prolong their 5-0 winning streak.

 
A Look At Lehman & Montclair State:
Lehman College

• Lehman College will be coming into the weekend 0-5, looking for their first win this season.
• Lehman College is ranked 7^th in the CUNYAC conference and coming off a tough, hard-fought conference lost to John Jay 19-25, 14-25, 13-25.
• The Lightning have earned 17 service aces thus far this season with four of them coming from sophomore Samantha Delgado.
• The Lehman squad averages 10.17 digs per set with freshman Paulette Sepulvada leading the team with 2.42 digs per set and a total 29 digs.
• Senior Yzaira Galan leads the team in her final year with 16 total kills on the season and averaging 1.45 kills per set.
• Defensively, the team has 8 total blocks on the season with sophomore Caitlin Vernon earning half of them.

Montclair State University

• The Red Hawks come into this weekend with a 4-2 record, winning their last game against Sage College 27-25, 25-19, 25-21. The Hawks are looking to continue their two-match winning streak.
• The Red Hawks come in with a team hitting percentage of .205, earning 241 total kills on the season thus far.
• Freshman Siyara Herbert, outside hitter, leads the team in total kills with 44 kills and an average 2.20 kills per set. Middle Hitter Caitlin Lange follows behind with 40 total kills and a .313 hitting percentage.
• Junior Ashley Griffith leads the team with 192 assists on the season so far, averaging 9.60 assists per set.
• Defensively, the team has accumulated 38.5 blocks on the season with Caitlin Lange leading the team with 5 block stuff and 20 assisted blocks.
• Senior libero Lily Scanzillo leads the team with 98 digs, earning an average 4.90 digs per set. 

Against Tri-Match Opponents All-TIme: The Brewers are 2-0 all-time against Lehman  College. Their last meeting was in 2015 where Vassar took a straight-set win off them. VC is 5-1 all-time against the Red Hawks, winning their last three match-ups all in straight-set victories.
