A Look At The Brewers:
  • The highlight of the spring season thus far was Vassar's 5-4 victory over No. 31 ranked Trinity College on March 13th in Claremont, CA.
  • Vassar's singles team has been the better aspect of the squad with a .560 win percentage compared to a .452 from the doubles side
  • The top three singles players for Vassar are currently on a roll as Nick Litsky, Allen Sokolov, and Juan Felipe Laso all have at least a three match win streak heading into this weekend.
  • Litsky has excelled for the Brewers this year. He is 10-4 in singles competition, always in the first position, and 8-5 in various doubles positions.  He earned Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week for his performance in California this past week.
  • No doubles pairing for Vassar has more than three wins on the season.
  • Vassar is undefeated on the Josselyn Tennis Courts this season, their last loss coming on April 30th of 2016.
  • Nick Zuczek and Litsky earned Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week after going 3-0 in the 3rd position, losing just six games over the three matches.
  • The Brewers currently sit in 3rd place in the Liberty League with a 2-1 record, although the 2nd place team, St. Lawrence, has played just one match in conference and is 2-5 overall.

A Look At The Violets:
  • NYU is currently on a two game win streak and has won four out of their last five matches.
  • The Violets have played well away from home this season with a 2-1 record on the road.
  • The Violets have been strong in both singles and doubles action posting .595 and .571 winning percentages in each respectively.
  • Three singles players all have 5-2 records this season playing in the 1st, 3rd, and 4th positions.
  • The 2nd position singles and 1st position doubles are the only spots that NYU does not have a winning record.
  • The 2nd doubles pairing of Michael Li and Benedict Teoh is 5-0 this season.

A Look At The Bears:
  • Coast Guard has yet to compete this spring but went a respectable 2-1 in fall competition against some quality opponents.
  • Similar to their overall record, the singles team for Coast Guard is 2-1 in every position except the 4th, which has a 1-2 record on the season.
  • The Bears have been inconsistent in their doubles lineup.  They have used two different pairings in each of the three positions.
  • John Hu has been very strong this season going 2-1 in No. 2 singles and 2-0 in No. 3 doubles.
  • Tom Hackett also has four wins on the season posting a 2-1 record in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
