Mullen sparked a 4-0 run with a buzzer-beater from Houston-Read. Leading up to the goal, the Mules turned the ball over while trying to complete a clear before the Brewers ran it all the way back.

Houston-Read dished out his second straight assist, finding Thomas for a goal to open the second stanza and knot the game at 3-all. Moriarty and Billups kept the energy flowing with unassisted scores to push the Brewer lead to 5-3.

The Mules pulled within one, but Moriarty found Thomas to give the Brewers a 6-4 advantage to go into intermission.

Moriarty rode that hot hand into the second half, finding Mullen for his team-leading third man-up goal of the season, 7-4.

The sides exchanged scores the rest of the way. Thomas fed Brandon DeStasio, 8-5, before DeStasio returned the favor with an assist to Houston-Read, 9-6. Drew Adams capped VC scoring with a goal from Mullen, 10-7.
