POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (December 20, 2017) – The Brewers head to the nation's capital for their final contests of 2017. On Friday, December 29, Vassar will face Marymount in the first game of the Jamie Lynn Roberts Fairfield Inn Holiday Tournament. The next day, VC will take on King's in the final game of the tournament.

Last Time Out: Vassar grabbed their first Liberty League win of the season back on December 2  when they topped William Smith 73-66.Nicole Teta poured in a season-high 15 points for the Brewers offense, shooting 50% from field and 3-5 from deep. Three other Vassar student-athletes notched double figure scoring as well, as the Brewers recorded their second highest scoring output of the season.

 
A Look at the Brewers (5-2, 1-1 Liberty League):

• Vassar ranks as the second best three-point defense in the league, holding opponents to just .240 shooting behind the arc.
• As a team, the Brewers are second best in the league at converting free throws making 72.5% of their attempts.
• Individually, Sophie Nick leads the conference in free throw percentage at .903 which ranks 25^th in DIII.
• Ariella Rosenthal is third in the league in field goal percentage at .449.
• The Brewers rank 71^st in the country in fewest turnovers.
• VC is 39^th in the country in fewest fouls.
• Rosenthal is the team leader in both points and rebounds per game (11.6 and 6.1).

• Marymount has won eight straight games since opening their season with a five-point loss at Randolph-Macon.
• The Saints have four players averaging double figure points with sophomore Regan Lohr leading the way at 13.6 points per game.
• Sophomore Gabriella Haddad is the leader on the glass, grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game while also averaging 11.3 points per game.
• Marymount has used the same starting five in all nine contests thus far.
• The Saints as a team are making 45.9% of their shots, ranking 16^th in the country.

 
Against Marymount All-Time: The Brewers and Saints have met just once before when Vassar topped Marymount 63-23 on November 25, 1991.
 
A Look at the Monarchs (5-3, 0-0 MAC Freedom):

• King's has five players averaging double figure points this season with sophomore Mackenzie Yori leading the way at 13.4 points per game.
• Sophomore Rebecca Prociak is the team leader in rebounding with 7.8 boards per game.
• The Monarchs have had the same starting lineup for all eight games this season.
• Among the starters, senior Olivia Hoffman is the leader in field goal percentage at .521.
• Hoffman ranks fifth in DIII in blocks as she has 26 rejections in just eight games for the Monarchs.
