POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (November 1, 2017) – The Vassar College men's swimming and diving team will travel away from Kresge Pool for the first time this season, heading up I-87 to take on the Thoroughbreds of Skidmore College Saturday at 1 p.m. in action from Williamson Sports Center.

Last Time Out: The Vassar men's swimming & diving team picked up its first victory over the dual meet season last Wedneday, knocking off Bard College in action from Kresge Pool. Freshman Max White picked up a pair of individual wins, while sophomore distance free swimmer
Jordan Kalina also chalked up victories in the 500 and 1000 meter free events.
A Look At The Brewers (1-1):
- Freshman Max White swam Vassar's top 200 free time against Bard last Wednesday, chalking up a win with a 1:48.72.
- Both Jordan Kalina and Finn Belanger swam their best 1000 meter free times against Bard College, clocking times of 10:39.31 and 12:03.30, respectively.
- Senior Jonah Strand had a nice battle in the 200 IM against Bard, finishing second but logging his best time of the season with a 2:02.10.
- Danny Dunn also logged his season-best time in the 200 IM against the Raptors, swimming a 2:31.02.
- Senior Connor Martin logged his best point total as a Brewer against Bard for a six-dive list, posting 180.45 points.
- Sophomore Harrison Taylor swam a 24.18 against Bard in the 50 free, his best time in the event this season.
- Sophomore Matthew Imiolek chalked up his personal best in the 100 free against Bard, registering a 51.53.
A Look At The Thoroughbreds (1-1):
- Skidmore knocked off St. Lawrence University, but fell the next day by four points to SUNY Potsdam.
- Lucas Po leads the sprint free team for Skidmore, as he posted a season-best time of 24.20 in the 50 free against the Bears.
- In the 100 free, Hirokazu Kamei has a strong time of 50.10, while also pacing the Thoroughbreds in the 200 free with a 1:50.51.
- Jason Hansen and Benjamin Rudman are the leaders for the distance team for Skidmore, as Rudman has the top 500 free time while Hansen paces the team in the 1000 free.
- Zamei and Rudman are 1-2 for Skidmore in the 100 and 200 breast events, while Kinser Bonner has the team's best times in both butterfly events.
- Kamei sits atop of the top times list in the 200 IM for the Thoroughbreds, swimming a 2:07.21 against SUNY Potsdam.
- Daryl Kwan is the top backstroker in the 100, swimming a 1:02.09 against St. Lawrence, while Bonner is the top option in the 200 back for Skidmore.
- Andrew Klein chalked up 202.73 points against St. Lawrence on the boards in the one meter event for his season-best point total, registering 196.73 points on the 3-meter.
