POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 30, 2016) – The Vassar College men's squash team celebrated Senior Day Saturday afternoon in Kenyon Hall for the Hudson Valley Team Tournament, but visiting Colgate University and Boston University spoiled the part as VC dropped both matches on the day. VC fell to Colgate 7-2, while dropping an 8-1 decision to Boston University.
Colgate 7, Vassar 2Vassar College started the day with a match against Colgate University, but the Brewers couldn't get much going at the top of the lineup as VC dropped the No. 1 through No. 7 positions.
Andrew Patton earned a hard-fought win at No. 8 for Vassar, as he chalked up an 11-8, 12-10, and 11-5 win over Dan Lucas.
Vassar also got a win at No. 9 thanks to the efforts of
Richard Bryenton, who knocked off Harry Quintin with scores of 11-4, 11-9, and 11-4.
Boston University 8, Vassar 1Boston University earned wins in all eight positions it had players, pulling out an 8-1 win over the Brewers. Vassar's lone win came at No. 9, as Bryenton earned a default victory. Before the match, Vassar's five seniors, Tim Veit,
