POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (November 11, 2015) – The Vassar women's swimming team (3-0) will be back on the road this Saturday, November 14 for the team's third Liberty League dual meet vs. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Julia Cunningham posted a 2014 B-Cut mark at the meet in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:07.39.
Meet Format: Vassar will compete head-to-head against the RPI in 16 events.
A Look at the Engineers (2-0): RPI has picked up victories in both of its dual meets this season, downing RIT 182-113 in its season opener then Ithaca College 161-139 on October 31. The team had five first or second place finishes in their last meet at the New England Invitational on November 8, though the meet was non-scoring.
Sophomore Michaela Yamashita was recognized as the Liberty League Women's Swimmer of the Week on Monday after winning the 100 butterfly at the New England Invite with a mark of 1:00.33. NCAA All-American Shanny Lin has continued to shine for the Engineers, currently ranking second in the country in the 200 fly (2:05.60). Reigning Liberty League Rookie of the Year Danielle Suave is also back, after setting pool records in both the 400 IM and 500 free at last year's championship meet.
From Coach Prater-Lee: "We're looking forward to a very close meet. RPI has been swimming/diving exceptionally well, and I think this team can step forward and match them in several ways. Mia Moraru (Meriden, CT/Hamden Hall Country Day School) earned her second consecutive selection as the conference's Diver of the Week after another record setting performance for the Brewers in a dual meet victory over Skidmore on November 7. She broke her own school record in the 3-meter, six dive event with a combined score of 251.25; smashing her record of 245.24 set just seven days ago. She also had her best mark of the season in the 1-meter event, taking first with a combined score of 230.70.
