Last Time Out: The Vassar women's swimming team took third overall on October 24 at the Union College Relays. The Brewers scored 100 points as a team, 14 points outside of 2nd-place Union and 18 points behind winner SUNY New Paltz.

Against New Paltz Last Time: In the 2014 season, Vassar fell 96-166 in the head-to-head score against the Hawks. New Paltz had 8 event victories out of the total 14. Now junior Julia Cunningham set two pool records at SUNY- New Patlz's Elting Pool, one in the 200 fly (2:09.40) and another during the 400 individual medley (4:43.02) where she posted the fastest time ever.

Meet Format: Vassar will compete head-to-head against the Hawks in 16 events, including a handful the Brewers have not swam this year. This will be the first time the Brewers swim the 400 individual medley, 200 yard butterfly, 200 yard breaststroke and 200 yard backstroke.

A Look at the Hawks (0-0): The Hawks are coming off a great performance at the Union Relays where they finished first (118 points) out of five teams competing. The competition at Union was the first of their season, and the team is coming off a 6-1 winning record for dual meets in 2014. Also last year the Hawks earned third place at the SUNYAC Championships in February.

Cunningham in Swimming World: Junior team captain Julia Cunningham (Yardley, PA/Peddie School) has written several pieces featuring Vassar swimmers as an intern for Swimming World Magazine. Some of her features include Brewer swimmers choosing to study abroad and offseason training as a Division III athlete

Next Up: The Women's Swim and Dive team will compete next against Skidmore College in a Liberty League dual meet on November 7th at 1:00 pm in Saratoga Springs, NY.
