POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (January 12, 2014) – The Vassar women's' swimming and diving programs will compete for the first time in over a month on Tuesday when the Brewers host Trinity College and Mount Holyoke in a tri-meet at Kresge Pool starting at 1:00 pm.

What to Look For:
Vassar (2-3) is back in action this week for the first time since the Liberty League Championships over a month ago. The Brewers will swim against the Bantams and Lyons in a tri-meet format, with separate dual meet scores for Vassar vs. Trinity, Vassar vs. Mount Holyoke and Trinity vs. Mount Holyoke.
Last Time Out:
The Vassar women's swimming and diving team solidified a sixth place finish at the Liberty League Championships on December 7, 2014, riding a wave of lifetime and season bests to score 621 points. The University of Rochester won its sixth consecutive team title at the meet, as the hosts totaled 1885.5 points on the weekend. RPI claimed a runner up finish with 1621.5 points, while Union College claimed the third spot with a team score of 763.
Thanks Seniors!:
The Vassar College swimming & diving program will honor seniors Elizabeth Balter, Zoe Fullerton, Olivia Harries and Kelly Wilkinson as the four swim in their final home meet of their Brewer careers on Tuesday. As a group, the quartet has set six school records over their four years and will be recognized in a pregame ceremony at Kresge Pool.
A Look at the Bantams:
Trinity is fresh off a meet against Wheaton on January 10, where the Bantams fell to the visiting Lyons 164-124 in a dual meet. The Bantams sport a fairly balanced roster, nearly split between upperclassmen and underclassmen. Trinity will look for its first head-to-head victory against either the Brewers or Lyons of Mount Holyoke on Tuesday, as the Bantams are currently 0-5 in duals this season.
A Look at Mount Holyoke:
Mount Holyoke has been busy with competition over the past week, swimming a tri-meet against Clark University and Wheaton College on January 9, then again taking the pool for a dual meet against Simmons College the following day. The Lyons downed Clark 146-94, but came up short of Wheaton 130-111. On January 10, Mount Holyoke picked up its fifth dual meet victory of the season against Simmons, besting the Sharks 173-116 at home in South Hadley, MA.
Seven Sisters Preview?:
It won't be long until VC and Mount Holyoke meet in the pool again at the 33rd Annual Seven Sisters Championship hosted by the Lyons on January 17 & 18. Last season, the Brewers finished third in the field (661 points) behind first place Wellesley College (1292.5) and runner up Mount Holyoke (792.5).
The Pacific Life:
The Vassar Swimming and diving programs traveled out to Coronado, California for a week-long training trip this past week, and have returned to Poughkeepsie to tackle the second leg of the season. The team competed in a non-scoring meet against Wisconsin-Eau Claire on January 9 and check out @VassarSwimDive on
