VC competed its conference sweep with a very complete win over St. Lawrence University, getting contributions all across the board along with more solid defensive play. The first set was close all the way through, featuring 11 tie scores during the game. Vassar last trailed in the match 24-22 after an attacking error, but the Brewers did not give up. VC took advantage of SLU being out of substitutions in a bad rotation, as junior libero Chloe Hallum (Baltimore, MD/Olympia) aced the Saints twice to give VC a 25-24 lead. On the next point, Vassar forced St. Lawrence into an attacking error, earning the opening set and an early lead.

The second set was tight through the early going, but a 5-1 run after the score was tied at 10 pushed the Brewers out in front for good. Vassar benefited in the second game from a very strong attacking presence, recording 14 kills on 31 attempts, posting just two errors. In the final game Vassar trailed 18-16, but a 5-1 spurt by the Brewers, led by the solid serving from Cardillo, pushed VC out in front 21-19.
