Brewers Fall to Williams in Season Opener

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA (September 17, 2014) – The Vassar men's tennis team was in action for the first time this fall season Wednesday afternoon, falling to Williams College 8-1.

The Ephs swept the doubles contests, and picked up five more victories in singles competition to come out ahead in the dual match. Sophomore Juan Felipe Laso (Quito, Ecuador/Colegio De Quito) picked up a solid victory in his season debut, defeating junior Howard Weiss in straight sets (7-5, 6-4). Fellow sophomore Nick Litsky (St. Petersburg, FL/Shorecrest Prep. School) battled tough with Williams's Conrad Harron, but fell just short in three sets (7-6, 4-6, 10-5).
