POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (April 11, 2014) - This Sunday it will be the men who take the field first, at 11:00 am, as they go up against the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). This will be an interesting match-up as Vassar continues to prepare players for next Fall which means that senior starters are moved around. Last week against Union it took Vassar quite a while to get into gear but they found their way and emerged winners 40-12. They will be more hard pressed this week so a slow start is not an option.

At
2:00 pm the Vassar Women take on Fairfield University Women and they have a few injury concerns. Looshead prop
Darienne Jones is unlikely to play as she turned her ankle in practice and
Anne Fritzson has field work. One area the Brewers must improve on is their defense i.e. tackling. Last week against Princeton it was abysmal and simple one on one tackles were missed. There needs to be a real attitude adjustment if Vassar wants to do well.
