ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY (February 4, 2014) – The Vassar College women's basketball team saw a season-high six players score in double-figures as the Brewers breezed by Bard College 85-40 in Liberty League action Tuesday.

Vassar College never trailed in the contest, closing the first half on a 10-2 run to take an 18-point advantage into the locker room. The Brewers (15-3, 8-1 Liberty League) shot 54.3 percent in the second half to pull away from the Raptors (1-16, 0-8 LL). Vassar has now won all 11 meetings with Bard College.

Sophomore Caitlin Drakeley (Woodbury, CT/Nonnewaug) finished with a game-high 17 points, making eight of her 16 field goals on the night. Drakeley added seven boards and three steals, and forward Hannah Senftleber (Burlington, VT/Burlington) had 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting, grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds.

Senior guard Cydni Matsuoka (Sacramento, CA/John F. Kennedy) knocked down four of her six triples, posting 14 points to go with a game-best nine assists. Junior Allyson Pemberton (Weston, MA/Weston) finished with 12 points, which marked the fourth game in the last five outings the guard has posted 10 or more points.

Sophomore forward Rose Serafini (Milton, Ontario, Canada/Milton Area) chalked up 12 boards and four blocks for VC, who finished with 10 rejections. The 10 blocks tied a season-high, set back against Gwynedd Mercy University December 30.  Tuesday marked the first time since February 18, 2012 that six players posted 10 or more points, as that happened in a 70-55 win over William Smith College.

Vassar shot 49.3 percent (35-71) from the floor, which included knocking down 6-of-9 from downtown. The Brewers also dominated the rebounding column, out-boarding Bard 51-32 on the night. This season, VC is now 14-0 when winning the battle on the boards, and is 10-0 when shooting over 40 percent.

Tytravia Riley added another double-double to her tally for Bard, going for 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Abby Labrecque chalked up 10 points and three steals for the Raptors. BC struggled from the floor, making just 28.3 percent (17-60) of its jumpers.
