NEW PALTZ, NY (November 22, 2014) – Freshman Jonah Strand (Woodstock, NY/Onteora Central) was among two Brewers with multiple event victories at SUNY-New Paltz on Saturday, as he swam to a career-best 2:19.54 in the 200 yard breaststroke. The freshman also took wins in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:04.70) and 400 IM 4:35.42, as Vassar fell to the Hawks 169-92 at Elting Pool.

Sophomore Anthony Walker (Madison, WI/James Madison Memorial) tallied a pair of wins, finishing with the top times in both the 200 yard butterfly (2:07.10) and 100 yard butterfly (54.82).  

Vassar now moves to 2-3 on the season in dual meets, and will wrap up the 2014 schedule on December 6-7 at the Liberty League Championships in Rochester, NY.
