A Look at the Engineers:
RPI is 1-1 in dual meets this season, previously besting Liberty League counterpart RIT 174-120 in its season opener on October 18. RPI fell to Ithaca 186-112 the following weekend, then competed at the New England Invitational on November 1. The Engineers are the defending Liberty League Champions on the men's side, tallying 1702 points at last year's conference meet to claim their fifth title in the past ten years.

The Engineers feature a fairly balanced roster in terms of youth and experience, led by senior captains Nate Hosking and John Martin.

Head of the Engineers:
Shannon O'Brien is in her 20th season at the helm for RPI, and has produced sic All-Americans on the men's side during her tenure. The men's team has claimed five league titles with O'Brien at the helm, while twice claiming the league swimmer of the year.

Previous Encounter:
Last season when these teams met, RPI earned a 155-112 victory over the Brewers. The Engineers took 11 event victories out of 16 to get the win, but VC was not far behind taking several second place finishes while out-touching RPI in several events.
